In the sacred wee hours of the night, a candle gently flickering on my alter, I asked: “HOW?” 

In my own ibogaine flood dose visions, I saw myself serving as a guide — holding hearts and evangelizing LOVE as the answer. But from here to there? It felt impossible. I came to ibogaine because of a traumatic brain injury. Despite trying to serve, I was often just surviving. How could I possibly live into that vision?

Ibogaine told me to make a class. This class.

And ibogaine made it possible by restoring my health, my vitality, my life force. After my flood dose sessions, I did have everything needed to create this class: the resources, the energy, the wisdom. 

You see, I’ve lived a wild, weird story. I survived 22 years heavily medicated on psych meds. Along the way I navigated an eating disorder, alcoholism, abuse, chaos spirals, even two suicide attempts. Freeing my mind left me with a traumatic brain injury and autoimmune disease. No one makes it through all of that without deep compassion for the human condition — and a few survival tips to share. 😉

When I arrived to my own soul work container with ibogaine, I had indeed amassed a lot of transcendental tools. I’d been doing yoga for 15 years and chanting mantras near daily for about seven. In a shamanism and transpersonal therapy yearlong training I learned the chakra system and connected with it so profoundly it’s now tattooed on my spine. 

Turns out I needed ALL my tools for the ibogaine trip! From knowing how to breathe during discomfort to rainbow-colored chakra reprogramming. The gods and goddesses arrived to be my protectors and teachers. My curiosity, my humor, my LOVE – it was visceral reminder that these are some of the most powerful tools I’ve got! 

What you bring into a container like this creates a foundation for what you’ll see and how you’ll be able to do the work. Potent soul work tools empower you to maximize the opportunity.

But these are not just tools for working with iboga/ine. Because life is a ceremony. Every day, every moment, is part of the sacred dance in which you are evolving, healing and becoming. These tools held me in the ibogaine dream space but they are also what has kept me shining bright through many a dark night during my years lost in the proverbial cave. These are soul work tools for living and growing – and that’s the whole point of being a human if you ask me. 

So I humbly offer this gift to you. In doing so, I offer it back to ibogaine, my master teacher, guide, and healing savior. May you make it yours, apply it in your life, and then pass your overflowing love to someone else who could use a hug. It seems small, but that’s how we change the world.
